Tuesday, December 29, 2009

First and foremost, thanks to them for sending me.
second, i only uploaded some pics, because i can't upload much because blogger suck big time. So anyway, most of the pics consists of none other than yours truly because i'm such a self-obsessed whore and because this is my blog and because i find my family members' pictures a bit too much into my life.

at the blue mosque
turkey has over 70 000 mosques. every square inch is mosquey

pretzels and cheese. something they eat as snacks

A stray Angora cat. Angora cats
originate from Turkey, originally called Ankara cats named after a state there.

The Blue Mosque (interior)

Outside, is a monument of some sort. It was freezing cold

Me and $$$. Oops, i mean Daddy.

Corn Anyone?

I hit the man. He wasn't too happy. On our way to a Palace.

In a Ferry to the Asean part of Turkey.( Turkiye is half europe-half asian. Not middle east)

Cold windy, tired, having a bad time-lag due to 6 hours time diff.

Our first hotel

Here, we were served a traditional turkish buffet. Most of their food contains tomato. They have bread without fail for every meal. They like mutton, (though they still call it beef) which i totally cannot swallow. Tastes like sheep. That mutton meat thing above ^ i ate, then the whole hotel plus people smelt like sheep. The toppest thing is like layers of thin oil-ess prata with cheese. I didn't like it. Goat's cheese.

They next morning. Me and bro woke up to blow smoke from the heat of our bodies to the air

Mum joined.

After the silk market. Didn't take pics. Bought pashminas made of silk for 10 lira = $10.

Brudda

Lunch. Soup.

Yes, salad! We had to be healthy. Turkish people are healthy.

I didn't finish this, but it wasn't too bad. Not a red-meat eater me.

GIGANTIC, ORGANIC FRUITS. FOR DESSERT.

The next hotel.

Made our way early in the morning to ephesus (ephesis?) where Medusa once lived. I'll tell you about medusa next post.

They built this town out of marble from the sea. IT WAS HUGE we were all so tired at the end. The people were so strong! Huge columns were carried, carved, places perfectly...

Artistes

Yes, so self-obsessed.

Rocks? Or snow

Me and Dad trying out before the tourgroup did to ensure safety -_-

Cold

Snow.... NOT. It's actually an endless suply of rock hard powdery calcium carbonate. but it's still cold.
We all love ducks

@ Virgin/Mother Mary's house.

Lunch! Salad appetiser.

Erm some bread thing called pita.

Coffee and Tea after visiting one of the scariest place of mandkind

Next hotel

Carpets. MADE OF PURE SILK? 2000Lira or what!

People lived in these rock formations. It's actually molten larva, which isn't so hard to carve. When you pick it with your nails it comes off. Like harden powdery rocks.

My tour group! Hoho. All friendly, nice, sophisticated, rich people (cept me)

In one of those rock houses.

Lunch! We had fixed three meals a day full of veggies.

Lentil Soup. Their food is very unsalty. We need to add salt and pepper to taste.

My Half-eaten unfinished food. Their rice is way nicer than ours! Got taste one.

MYSTERY AYE AYE. Pots on trees. WHY?

It's to contain the bad in the pots.

These are blue-eyed beads. Originally to ward off evil. Medusa, in the past had blue eyes, she could turn people to stone. People believed back then that once there is one evil with you, no other evil will bug you. So they carried one evil with them, which is Medusa's eye. Now it just resembles luck.

They built an underground housing estate to hide during wars, carved fully out of rocks, OF 8 BLOODY STOREYS DEEP IN, with stairs, rooms, bathrooms, kitchens etc. Power. Oh and they had a tunnel running under to another underground housing estat 9KM away. NOW HOW DID THEY KNOW THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE 9 KM AWAY AND HOW THEY DIG THE TUNNEL OUT FOR 9 KM!

Charlene!

Pottery with intricate artwork. Expensive.

The next day we went hot-air-ballooning @ cappadocia.

Family photo!

It wasn't easy

Strength!

The wonderful sun over the hazed fogginess

We were like on Mars. Everything was brown-orange rocks.

Our shadow

In summer, when there are trees, the hot air balloons dip down so low that you can pick the apricots and apples out of the trees. How awesome.

At a museum/tomb of Mustafa Kamal Antuturk, Father of Turkiye.

COLD

Yes, im very self-obsessed. But thisis candid

The soldiers! <3 (my bf is a soldier he he he no.)

Yes, this is snow. Haha pathetic much.

Our next hotel

Mosque.

The grand bazaar! Leather jackets (real leather) as low as 200 Lira!

Chinese food, at a Korean restaurant, In Turkiye, eaten by Malay from singapore.

I hated this.

Nuts for Nuts!

On a tour Private ferry to view istanbul. Too many Photos.

Lucky they're still in love.
